Normally, it's not considered a good thing to have a financial institution laugh at you when you call them with a problem. But I suppose when you're laughing along with the representative, it's a little better.
I had to call my credit card company to ask about getting a new credit card, since mine expires at the end of this month. After checking to make sure there wasn't any holds on my account (there weren't), the rep told me she'd send one off right away. When she confirmed that it would be a card with a chip, I started playfully grumping about it, which eventually lead to us discussing/complaining about having to remember all of these bloody passwords. She was pretty amused by my vows to never get with the times and purchase a cell phone, and out right laughed when I told her I'm probably going to wind up one of those anti-technology, wild-haired hermits in the bush just to avoid all the numbers I have to memorize. And laughed harder when I started to wail about not having a pretty picture on my credit card and how that means I have to grow up and have a boring old adults credit card! (Not fair! I LOVE my card with a black and white image of the earth on it.)
And then she thanked me for making her day.
After a day of struggling with a stupid computer program for data analysis, I think she made mine too. :D
