Space FAIL

ARGH!  I thought the Doctor Who episode on Space tonight was going to be the new one.  But no, of course not.  It was the first episode of the season.  Granted, they had a neat hour-long feature all about Doctor Who before hand that was good to watch for a newbie like me.  But still, FRUSTRATING.

*goes off to download episode 3*

And this is why I will never feel bad about illegally downloading shows while in Canada.  Can't watch them streamed online because I'm 'out of the geographic region' for both US and UK shows, and Canadian channels are sucktastically too far behind.  If they get off their fricken asses and make these things available to us, we wouldn't have to resort to this!

Grumpy Heather is Grumpy.

although watching the first episode was fun again, as much as I don't want to admit that right now

Oh. My. Gosh.

Just watched the first episode with the new Doctor, and uh, yeah, I'm hooked.  THIS IS AMAZING!

I used to watch Doctor Who when I was little - like, 10 or 11 years old.  I remember absolutely loving it, even if my parents never watched it with me.  I looked it up, and it seems like it was the 4th Doctor that I watched.  I really don't remember much of it now, and it might be worth tracking down some of the old episodes to have a look-see again, but I do remember thoroughly enjoying it.  I also remember the scarf, and begging my grandma to make me one.

So maybe the 4th Doctor is really my first, but I LOVE the 11th!  He's adorkable, seriously.

Aaaand I'm totally not finishing my Masters at this rate.  :P

Man, I'll need to track down a Doctor Who icon...

I swore to myself I wasn't going to get into this show right now, since I'm already into enough shows that distract me from my thesis.  But...of course, they've been showing episodes from season 4 on Space lately, and I've accidentally watched a few.

Tonight, it was the season 4 finally, where the Doctor is dying.  NOT the best place to start, but pretty much in keeping with my style of reading/watching new story-lines.  It's so touching and sad (Wilfred tearing up just broke my heart), and now I think I'm in trouble because I want so much to learn more about the characters.

Season 5 has just started.  I'll bet I could watch the new season, and slowly catch up with the last 4 (ignoring for a time the original Who shows).  Hmmm...

I may need to find a Doctor Who icon.
