Nice touch there, Olympic planning committee, fixing that last technical error from the opening ceremonies! The mime was a nice touch! :D

Alright, so here comes my mental spew about the closing ceremonies! :D I doubt it'll be as long-winded as the opening ceremonies, but you never know.

Case in point, I've got the shivers from the people running around the flame in opposite circles, and everyone just rockin' out on the floor! :D OH MY GOSH THEY'RE WRITING OUT THE COUNTDOWN WITH ALL THE PEOPLE! NEAT!!! I'm always impressed when people manage to do that. Oh apparently they're volunteer teens from schools in the area, mostly athletes. What a great opportunity for them!
Honouring the Chiefs! I'm still so proud that they did that.
Once again, way to go Royal Canadian Mounted Police!
OH CANADA! :D I love our anthem. I love that it's bilingual, and even though I don't speak french, I'm proud that I can sing it in both French and English. It really defines us, our anthem.
I really love the symbolism behind the athletes entrance in the closing ceremonies. How at the start of the games, each country comes in separately and informally, but at the end, they all come in together, united in the games!

Heh, the commenters say that the Sochi presentation is a combination of Russia and Avatar (not that I've seen the movie yet...) I love the zorbs (?)! They weren't kidding though; their presentation is quite a contrast, being more traditional to the laid-back Canadian presentation. I guess it's to be expected, though. They have a lot of tradition to follow.
Neat! The guy conducting the orchestra for the Sochi presentation is conducting from a different location and being projected into the stadium.
Hahaha! I like the president of the games (I think? Nope, it wasn't. Not sure who it was, but I think he represented Canada and Vancouver 2010 - maybe the planning committee?) throwing in the obvious 'eh'. :D

MICHAEL J FOX!!! Oh I love him. :D "If you're good at something, we'll claim you" As he goes to claim all of the athletes because they came to play in Canada, making them all Canadians. "And that means the new medal count is..." LOL!
What the heck is with the sexed-up Mounty uniforms? Oh gosh, Michael Buble. You know, I'm not that impressed with the closing ceremonies, thus far, but I do like that they're poking fun at ourselves! Gotta love the stereotypes!

HOCKEY, MOUNTIES, MAPLE LEAVES, GIANT BEAVERS AND FLYING MOOSE. Awesome. And even better, the audience are all wearing moose antlers!
