bare_bear: Caution sign showing a monster leaning over a cliff to eat a car (Sleep deprived)
Why does my writing peak have to be between 11 pm and who-the-hell-knows-when am?  Seriously, I've been researching and writing off and on (for once, mostly on) since 2 this afternoon, and while everything before midnight was like pulling teeth, once we get to stupid-o'clock, suddenly it flows.

I've know that stupid-o'clock is my best writing time for a long time now, but I foolishly hoped I could force it to switch around by 12 hours.  That's...really not working at all.  I've been joking about it for a while, but I think it's seriously time to go nocturnal.

*kicks brain*  Work when I want you to, dammit!

Le sigh.

Despite things flowing well right now, I'm to bed.  I have a meeting with the Super tomorrow at lunch.  Sadly, she is not getting a draft tomorrow, but I'm fine with that.  Like I said before, I wouldn't want her input on this right now, anyways.

(But I'm starting to like this chapter, and surprisingly, enjoying writing it.  FINALLY.  :D  Also, loving this song!  So bloody appropriate for all grad students, I swear.)

Thevoiceinyourheadjustspedup. The. Voice. In. Your. Head. Just. Slowed. Down. THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD JUST GOT LOUDER. The voice in your head is now normal again.

Heh.  Found on facebook.  Made me laugh like a loon at 4 am when I realized it was totally true.  Also made me laugh like a loon at 10 am and again this afternoon, so figured I'd share here.  ^__^

Nap time!

In preparation for going nocturnal, I am going for a nap!  Was supposed to go down an hour ago, but the internet, it is shiny.  :3

YAY SLEEP!  \o/
bare_bear: (Clean ALL the things)
So it occurs to me, as I wait for my supper to finish cooking, that despite once hinting about moving, I've never mentioned where I'm moving.  (I find that I log the trivial things (if one can call the Thesis of Doom trivial), and ignore most of the big things going on in my life.)

I've known this was coming for a while, but I'm out of funding.  Sadly, this does not correspond with finishing my degree (mostly my own fault - although the Super mentioned today that she's not surprised considering my PhD sized data set).  This means that I can't stay in my apartment any longer.  Actually, what this really means is that I can't afford to live in southern Ontario anymore unless I go homeless and couch surf.  So I'm bowing out and moving back to Manitoba to finish writing.

I have some reservations about this, mostly revolving around not being able to work at home, especially if relatives "need" to see me as soon as I get back.  Plus my family enjoy their weekends, especially the evening/nights, and I'm not sure how this will all work out.  I've definitely learning that every day counts.  But the Super won't let this drag on.  She already squeezed two chapter deadlines out of me in the coming week, knocking off chapters that are pretty close to being done anyways.

For the most part, though, I'm looking forward to it.  It'll be wonderful to spend some time with my Mom and Step Dad, as well as friends and family when I have a chance to see them.  I think I should be able to finish off things there, especially if I'm not worrying about how I'm going to pay my rent.

Anywho, finished eating, and it's time to get to work.  So much to do in the coming days, whoa man.
