A Turkey in the Freezer, a Turkey on the Couch. Which One Will Win?

So uh, I'm hosting a Thanksgivings Day dinner at my place on Monday. I even have a 12 lbs turkey sitting in my freezer. Now I just need to figure out what the heck to do with it...

This should be an interesting holiday.

First step to avoid food poisoning: Thaw. If you are thawing it in the fridge (the recommended but not always practical way) it'll take about 5-6 hours per pound, so you should probably start now. At room temperature it would take about an hour per pound, so you still have time (of course, it may take longer if the room is cold).
