Falling off the wagon HURTS!
So I'd planned to do this great running program, get in shape and become a much better runner in a few months. Well, I've fallen off the bandwagon a couple times, and this time round, it's been a month or so fall. EEP!
I went running tonight, and oh man, does that fall ever hurt! It got better towards the end of the run, but I've definitely gotten badly out of shape since last time I went running. :(
Still, this program is really good for getting started. It called Couch to 5K, and gradually gets your endurance up by building you up from 20 minutes of 1 minute of running and 1.5 minutes of walking, to a 30 minute straight run over the span of 9 weeks. And some ingenious DJ has mixed some music at different beats to motivate you and guide you when to walk and when to run. It's called Podrunner Intervals, and I know it definitely keeps me going!
Anywho, I may have posted about this before, but oh well. It's such a neat program that keeps you from killing yourself the first time out running, and I want to tell the world! :D
